Today God put in on my heart to dedicate part of my blog to prayer. So, I decided that I would create a bi-weekly prayer post for different occasions or different people. Let me know your thoughts!
This one is for the dinner table, whether that be at your home, at a restaurant, with friends, or with family.
Thank You for this day and all that it has been. I pray that we remember all of the good things and that we embrace all of the bad – finding comfort in that You remain good despite our circumstances. Thank You for watching over us and guiding not only our steps, but our thoughts as well. I pray for wisdom and discernment for all of us here, and that we would never cease to walk in Your ways. I pray that the interactions and encounters we have had today, and the seeds that we have planted in each, will continue to grow and prosper and that Your name will be lifted high among the nations. I pray that your blessing and favor be upon every person whose path intertwined with ours, as well as every person who passed through our thoughts. I pray that they recognize their value and that they understand how deep Your love for them is. I pray that in seasons of doubt, pain, suffering, and confusion, that they will find peace in Your presence and that Your steadfast love will entangle them.
Bless every person who contributed to this meal from the farmers to the packers, the delivery men to the store employees, the people who created the recipes to the hands that prepared it. Pour out Your love and grace to all of those people and help them to be able to recognize the blessings that You have given them. I pray that You bless this food to our bodies and that it gives us strength and energy.
Bless the people I’m with and fill us all with an untamable love for You and a passion to make Your name revered by all people. Lord, I pray that You bless the conversation around this table and that there is an abundance of laughter and pure joy. I pray that the words we say are kind and genuine and that there is no barrier between what is on our hearts and what flows from our lips. I pray that we build one another up and that we cultivate relationships that will endure.
Thank You, God, for all that You have done in our lives, all that You are doing, and all that You have yet to do. Thank you also for this company. We love You!
